Calendar: 40th Annual Newport Irish Heritage Month – March 2017

This Newport Irish Heritage Month calendar is based on input from the Representative Peter Martin, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Newport, Rhode Island AOH Pipes & Drums, the Newport Irish Heritage Association, the Museum of Newport Irish History, the Newport Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, and other organizations which promote the Irish culture in Newport and the surrounding area.

THURSDAY – March 2nd
Newport – Kinsale – Chefs Exchange Kickoff
• An evening at which several visiting chefs from our sister city of Kinsale, Ireland will join with
local chefs to put on a food tasting event.
• There will also be a whiskey tasting station for those so inclined.
• Tickets will be available at the Hall and participating restaurants.

• Kevin Doyle’s Roscommon Soles takes the Greenwich Odeum stage with their latest show, Step into
the Irish Parlor-St. Patrick’s Day.
• The dance, music, and storytelling performance recreates an intimate family parlor of the 1960s on St.
Patrick’s Day, when memories travel back and forth in time to the tunes and the steps for an audience
of all ages.
