What a glorious day it was for New England yesterday.  Pearl Jam front man Eddie Vedder rolled into Providence, played a solo gig and blew the capacity crowd to bits and the Boston Bruins travelled to Vancouver, dominated and embarrassed the Canucks 4-0 (outscoring them 23-8 over seven games) and came home with Lord Stanley’s Cup!!!!

Vedder played a few songs from his new solo album Ukulele Songs and followed those up with some old favorites including “Can’t Keep,” “Sometimes,” “Elderly Woman,” “Betterman,” “Just Breath” and ”Society.”  He even managed to slip in a John Lennon cover, ”You’ve got to hide your love away” and a Bob Dylan cover, “Forever Young.”

All in all it was an amazing night and the Providence, Boston, and Newport nightlife scenes were all at full throttle last night!
