Jacoby Brissett suffered a torn thumb ligament in his throwing hand that will require surgery

via USA Today “New England Patriots rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett suffered a torn thumb ligament in his right (throwing) hand in Thursday night’s win over the Houston Texans and will require surgery, according to WEEI radio in Boston.”

Well normally this would totally suck. Your number one quarterback is out on a four-game suspension, your number two is out with a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder and now your number three goes down with a torn ligament in his throwing hand. For every team in the NFL (not named the New England Patriots) this would be absolutely devastating. But we’re talking about the New England Patriots, the greatest franchise in sports with the greatest coach and motivator of men this world has ever known.

And you know what? I’m not worried AT ALL. Next man up!!! Belichick has this.

I seriously, sincerely and honestly hope (begging actually) that Edelman steps up and leads this team to 4-0 just to further stick it in Roger Goodell’s eye!

After all, Edelman was a badass QB for Kent State in college!

and he has already thrown a touchdown pass in the NFL!!!

Next man up. DO YOU JOB!

Prediction: New England Patriots 54 – Buffalo Bills 3
