Whether it’s a school field trip, a family outing or a first date, for over 45 years Mystic Aquarium has been a place where lasting memories are made. Equally as important, Mystic Aquarium is a place where injured animals are rehabbed, non-releasable animals find a home and all receive world-class animal care. Through the work of educators, veterinarians and research scientists, it is also where advancements are made in aquaculture and marine sciences toward ocean conservation.
For those reasons and more, Mystic Aquarium seeks to secure national recognition through USA TODAY’s 2019 10 Best Readers’ Choice travel awards.
An expert panel at USA TODAY selected Mystic Aquarium as a contender for Best Aquarium. The contest gives voters the opportunity to vote for the candidates like Mystic Aquarium now through Earth Day, Monday, April 22.
“We are thrilled that Mystic Aquarium has been recognized as one of North America’s leading aquariums for USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice awards,” said Roslyn Gilhuly, Senior Vice President of External Operations . “Now we hope that our friends, followers and fans will cast their votes to make us number one.”
Supporters are encouraged to vote for Mystic Aquarium daily. Votes can also be cast on multiple devices now until online polls close on Monday, April 22 at noon.
Mystic Aquarium is passionate about conservation, education and research with the goal of inspiring people to care for and protect the ocean planet as evidence by current educational and ocean ambassador programs and international collaborations like the rehab of Lou-Seal.
“We hope that people will show their passion for Mystic Aquarium by casting their votes,” added Gilhuly.
