Search Resumes For Missing Newport Teen

Authorities Resume Search For Teddy Oliviera

The Rhode Island State Police are in Newport today with specially trained dogs to resume and continue the search for missing Newport teen Teddy Oliviera.

Mr. Oliviera has been missing since late last Monday evening where was last seen operating a motorized inflatable dinghy in Newport Harbor. Authorities have recovered the dinghy, containing a backpack with personal possessions identifiable to Mr. Olivera, north of the Newport Bridge on Coaster’s Harbor Island.

The RISP involvement marks a big departure from the U.S. Coast Guard who announced on Wednesday evening that they were suspending the search for Teddy Oliviera after searching more than 600 square miles of ocean.

why did it take so long to resume the search for this woman child! my prayer and hopes go out to the mother and family. There is so much going on in the new sthat is so trival, But if the family will allow I am sure that there are many people that want to know what is going on in order to bring this young man back home to his loved ones and friend. Please, please keep us posted.
