Seth Meyers and Lisa Lampanelli Play Newport This Weekend

Seth Meyers and Lisa Lampanelli perform this weekend at the Newport Yachting Center as part of the star studded 2012 Newport Summer Comedy Series.

Meyers, who will perform on Friday, July 20th at 7:30pm, is best known for his work as anchor of “Weekend Update” on NBC’s Emmy Award-winning, Saturday Night Live, where he is also head writer. As the sole “Weekend Update” anchor, Meyers charms audiences as he lampoons top news stories and entertains fan favorite guests. He is currently in his 11th season at SNL.

Lampanelli, the one and only “Queen of Mean”, returns to the waterfront on Sunday, July 22nd at 7:30pm. Heralded as “more than a standup — a standout,” by comedy legend Jim Carrey, Lampanelli is a cross between Don Rickles, Archie Bunker, and a vial of estrogen. She even won accolades from The King of All Media Howard Stern, who called her “a true original and a brilliant comedy mind who’ll steal the show every time.”
