The team at 1170 East – Custom Living is hosting an evening of design, conversation, and holiday inspiration on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, from 5–8 PM — and they’re inviting industry professionals and design enthusiasts to join them.

Guests will explore beautifully curated displays, discover the latest in cabinetry, stone, and interiors, and enjoy local bites and craft cocktails while mingling inside the fully decorated showroom. The event celebrates creativity, connection, and craftsmanship, bringing together designers, architects, contractors, and others who shape exceptional spaces.

Admission is free, but advance registration is required to attend.*

An inspiring holiday evening awaits! 🎄✨
🎅 The holiday season in Newport wouldn’t be comple 🎅 The holiday season in Newport wouldn’t be complete without Santa Claus cruising through the city — and once again, he’s teaming up with the Newport Fire and Police Departments for his annual neighborhood tour.

Starting Tuesday, Dec. 9, Santa will swap his sleigh for a Newport Fire Department engine, rolling through town and waving to families along a planned route. Rides begin at 5:30 p.m., with departures from Fire Station #2 at 5 p.m.

This year’s tour spans four evenings, with Santa covering a different part of the city each night.

Neighborhood Schedule
Tuesday, Dec. 9
North End west of Broadway: Touro St., Dr. Marcus Wheatland Blvd., Van Zandt Ave., Bedlow Ave., Newport Heights.
Thursday, Dec. 11
North End east of Broadway: Memorial Blvd. to Middletown line, including Kay St., Vernon Ave., Bliss Rd., Eustis Ave.
Tuesday, Dec. 16
South End west of Spring St.: Fort Adams to Touro St. and Harrison Ave., including the Historic 5th Ward.
Thursday, Dec. 18
East of Spring St.: Memorial Blvd. to Ocean Ave., plus Bellevue Ave., Annandale Rd., the Point, Bayside Village, Admiralty neighborhoods.

Safety Reminders
Parents should accompany children and remain on the sidewalk.
Santa won’t stop for photos due to time constraints.
Weather may affect the schedule; if needed, the tour will shift to the following night.
