2 – Fire & Ice at Hotel Viking (Daily 4-8pm)
Every day of Winterfest (Feb 12-21), Hotel Viking’s courtyard will feature an Ice Bar and fire pits. Cool cocktails and warm toes are a perfect Winterfest activity.
3 – Winterfest Comedy Show with Joe Yannetty and Buddy Fitzpatrick at the Newport Hyatt (Friday 8:30pm)
The Newport Winter Festival hosts two comedic geniuses.
A seasoned professional, comedian Joe Yannetty draws on his travels, his Italian heritage, family situations and Boston blue-collar upbringing to bring comedy to audiences around the world. Yannetty has been a guest on dozens of television shows, and has headlined around the world.
Buddy Fitzpatrick combines the skill of a great monologist with a physical style that brings his observations to life. Buddy’s stand-up made him a regular on Comedy Central with appearances on ABC and A&E. Buddy can be seen in the Damon Wayans film Harlem Aria and in The Business of Strangers starring Julia Stiles and Stockard Channing. His television credits include HBO’s Sopranos.

5 – Boulevard Brewing’s Rhode Island Launch Party at Tavern on Broadway (Friday 7pm)
Boulevard will be launching in Rhode Island TONIGHT!!! Come down to The Tavern on Broadway and try out the Power Trio. Meet and Greet with brewery reps and learn about this great brewery from Kansas City.

7 – Winter Festival Beach Polo at Easton’s Beach (Saturday 1pm)
People of all ages enjoy the spectacle of horsemanship and breath-taking views of Newport’s renown Beaches when the ponies and players put on a polo match on the sand. The event is a low-impact, eco friendly exhibition that is part of the fun during Newport Winter Festival. FREE!
8 – Ice Cream Sundae Bar At Hotel Viking (Saturday 1-3pm)
Satisfy your sweet tooth at the Ice Cream Sundae Bar in the Viking Ballroom. Available from 1pm-3pm and the event is free with your WinterFest bracelet ($5 for everyone else). Olaf will be at the ice cream sundae bar on Feb 20 at 1:30.
9 – Dinner and a movie (MINIONS) at Hotel Viking – (Saturday 5pm)
The whole family can come and enjoy a buffet dinner for $19 per person (save $5 with your WinterFest bracelet). Kids under 12 eat free. Dinner at 5pm, Minion visit at 6pm, showtime at 6:30pm.
10 – Hotel Viking Wine Fest Dinner with Justin Baldwin, Founder, JUSTIN Wines (Saturday 7pm)
The 2016 Viking Wine Festival includes award-winning wineries and celebrated personalities from the wine world. Featured winemakers will pair their wines with a four-course prix-fixe menu designed by Chef Barry Correia of One Bellevue. Keeping true to the Festival’s long-time approach of tasting the wines first, then developing the menu based on the flavor profiles, Chef Correia will work with each winemaker to craft a menu that showcases Rhode Island’s harvests and flavors. Each menu will present pairings that best enhance the flavors of both the featured wine and food.
11 – 80’s Night at Norey’s Star Restaurant (Saturday 7pm)
Each and every Saturday night Norey’s plays all of your favorite 80’s music videos. Each week this ends up becoming absolute sing-along dance-a-thon.

15 – Winter Festival Day at Easton’s Beach (Sunday 12-2pm)
All ages welcome to this wonderful day of festivities: Children’s Block Hunt, Polar Bear Plunge, Beach polo and more. Featured Events Include:
– 12:00pm: Polar Bear Plunge * High noon plunge! The daring are invited to join in a swim in the frosty Atlantic Ocean with The Newport Polar Club.
– 12:30pm: Block Hunt – Enjoy an old fashioned block hunt digging in the sand and turn your block in for fun prizes. Also one silver block in each age category wins a grand prize!
