Mary G. (Paz) Souza, of Portsmouth, passed away at home Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was the wife of the late Edward Souza.
Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Leander) Paz.
Mary worked at Newport Hospital for 50 years. After her retirement, she went on to be a volunteer at the hospital for another 20 years.
She leaves her nieces and nephew, Janet Catalan of Middletown, Brenda Escobar of Portsmouth, and Manuel Paz of Middletown.
Mary was the sister of the late Manuel Paz.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family, Friday, October 27, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. Funeral services for Mary will begin at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown.
