Preservation Society raffling off chance to “Live the Gilded Life”

Once-In-A-Lifetime Experiences Paired with Luxury Accommodations and Travel on Tap for “Live The Gilded Life” Sweepstakes Winner

The famed “summer cottages” of the Vanderbilts, Berwinds, and other Gilded Age tycoons have long been a coveted destination on many travelers’ East Coast itineraries. This year The Preservation Society of Newport County will fly one lucky couple to Newport for a luxurious romantic getaway, complete with deluxe accommodations and exclusive  Newport Mansions experiences  as winners of  the Live the Gilded Life Sweepstakes.

“The Newport Mansions represent the height of luxury of a bygone era, when America’s wealthiest families enjoyed a lifestyle that few of us can imagine today,” said Trudy Coxe, CEO & Executive Director of The Preservation Society of Newport County. “By entering this sweepstakes with just a $5 donation to the Preservation Society, one lucky couple will enjoy a taste of that lifestyle.”

Tickets can be purchased at www.LiveTheGildedLife.org.  Each five dollar donation to the Preservation Society will help protect, preserve and present some of America’s most important legacy buildings, furnishings and landscapes.  One winner will be selected at random to receive:

  • Round-trip airfare for two within continental U.S. with all transfers;
  • Three nights’ luxury accommodations in Newport;
  • In-room flower arrangement from the Preservation Society’s greenhouse;
  • Photo portrait taken in one of the mansions or on the grounds;
