Set on more than an acre along Portsmouth’s presti Set on more than an acre along Portsmouth’s prestigious West Side, 121 King Charles Drive offers unobstructed views of Narragansett Bay and a lifestyle defined by space, privacy, and sweeping coastal beauty. From the primary suite, main living areas, and expansive deck, sailboats drift past in a postcard-perfect panorama — and each evening ends with a brilliant sunset over the water.

With 3,766 square feet of living space, 4 bedrooms, and 3 baths, this home blends comfort with refined finishes. The gourmet kitchen features Viking and Bosch appliances, granite countertops, and generous prep space, opening to a sunlit living area anchored by a fireplace with a bespoke Georgian-style mantle. The primary suite offers a newly refreshed bath with Carrara marble and polished nickel fixtures from Signature Hardware, while a second full bath has also been updated with granite and polished nickel fittings. A finished bonus room over the garage provides additional space for work, media, or guests.

The property’s 1.239 acres are completely flat — a rarity on the West Side — creating a blank canvas for expanded amenities that complement today’s outdoor lifestyle. Imagine a bluestone pool, tennis court, putting green, basketball court, Nordic spa, or a full outdoor entertainment area. Here, the possibilities are as wide as the water views.

Ideally located, the home sits just 1 mile from both the private Aquidneck Club and Newport Beach Club, 1 mile from Portsmouth Abbey School, 1.5 miles from St. Philomena School, and 7 miles from downtown Newport. It also offers convenient commuting access to the new Fall River Mass Transit train to Boston.

For the buyer seeking more than a home — for those wanting a lifestyle centered on coastal beauty, recreation, and connection — 121 King Charles Drive presents an exceptional opportunity. The home’s footprint can be expanded in virtually any direction, allowing your vision to unfold on one of Portsmouth’s most desirable bayfront parcels.

The Newport community is rallying around lifelong The Newport community is rallying around lifelong resident and beloved nurse Moira Houlihan, who is battling stage 5 chronic kidney disease and urgently needs a kidney transplant.

Known for her compassion, warmth, and lifelong dedication to caring for others, Moira has spent her career helping patients and comforting families in their most difficult moments. Now, friends, family, and neighbors are coming together to return that same care and kindness.

Through the Massachusetts General Hospital Kidney Paired Donation Program, it’s possible to help even if you’re not a direct match. The Mass General Transplant Center operates one of the most active and experienced living kidney donor programs in the region—and the largest. Living donation allows patients to receive a transplant without waiting years for an organ from a deceased donor.

The need is urgent: there are four times as many people waiting for kidneys as there are available from deceased donors, and the average wait time is three years or more. In contrast, living donor transplants can happen within weeks, and organs from living donors often function better and last longer. For patients with kidney failure, the advantages are life-changing and the risks for donors are minimal.

Community members are encouraged to learn more and take the first step by following the provided link to the Mass General transplant program (mghlivingdonors.org). Those unable to donate are urged to show support by sharing Moira’s story, spreading awareness, or simply sending encouragement to her and her family.

As one friend shared, “Moira has dedicated her life to helping others. Now it’s our turn to help her.”

Every share, post, and conversation brings her one step closer to finding a donor — and to a second chance at life.

For more information on how to help or begin the donor process, comment “Donate” below.

FOXBOROUGH — The Patriots are back, baby — and Dra FOXBOROUGH — The Patriots are back, baby — and Drake Maye’s the real deal. The quarterback carved up the Jets under the Thursday night lights, leading New England to a 27-14 win at Gillette and pushing the Pats’ win streak to eight straight. That’s right — eight in a row. The Pats are now 9-2, sitting pretty atop the AFC East and making the rest of the division look like they’re playing JV ball.

The game started with the usual “here we go again” groan from the crowd when the Jets marched 72 yards on their opening drive to take a 7-0 lead. But that was about all Gang Green had to celebrate. From there, Maye and rookie sensation TreVeyon Henderson took over like it was 2007 all over again.

Henderson racked up three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) and joined Gronk as the only rookie in team history to hit the trifecta in one game. Maye was ice-cold efficient, completing 25 of 34 for 281 yards and a score, spreading the ball to Stefon Diggs (nine catches, 105 yards) like he’s been doing this for a decade. Diggs now has 39 career 100-yard games — and looks like he’s having the time of his life in Foxborough.

After the Jets’ early punch, the Pats countered with two long touchdown drives capped by Henderson runs to take a 14-7 lead at half. A missed field goal from Andy Borregales was the only blemish in an otherwise dominant first half. Maye came out firing in the third, hitting Henderson for a TD to make it 21-7 before the Jets briefly came back to life. Didn’t matter. The Pats slammed the door with two more field goals and a late fumble recovery that sealed it.

Mike Vrabel’s crew looks nothing like the sloppy squads of the past few years — disciplined, physical, and built for cold-weather football. Maye’s playing like an MVP candidate, and Henderson’s becoming a Foxborough folk hero faster than you can say “Do Your Job.”

Next up: the Bengals in Cincy. But for now, the Pats are 9-2, the Jets are 2-8, and order has been restored in the AFC East.
