Mark your calendars! The beloved Wickford Art Festival returns July 12-13, 2025, promising a vibrant weekend of creativity, community, and coastal charm in Wilson Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Hosted by the Wickford Art Association, the festival celebrates its 62nd year with more than 200 juried artists showcasing work in painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, woodworking, and more. Attendees can expect a lively open-air gallery, live music, food vendors, and the chance to meet both new and returning artists.
This year’s “Face of the Festival” artist is Holly Wach, whose watercolor Great Blue Heron embodies the connection between people and nature. A print of her work and a signed festival poster will be featured in the Scholarship Raffle, supporting Rhode Island high school seniors pursuing art degrees.
First-time artists include watercolorist Donna Grande from New Jersey, Istanbul-born jewelry artist Sema Gurerk, and abstract painter Helen DiQuinzio of Rhode Island. Local favorites like ocean photographer Cate Brown and ceramicist Jillian Barber are also returning.
Festivalgoers can stroll through Wilson Park and follow a trail to historic Wickford Village, where colonial architecture, harbor views, and local shops await. Live music by Graham Peck, Sybil and Steve Pierce, and others will fill the air, while food from Bee’s BBQ, Finn’s Fresh Crepes, Newport Creamery, and more keeps visitors fueled. New this year: a wine and beer tent featuring Gooseneck Vineyards and Whalers Brewing Company.
