Former New England Patriot Named Coach Of New England Liberty – Tryouts Saturday December 19th

Legends Football League officials have announced the hiring of Derrick Beasley as head coach of the newly formed New England Liberty, in advance of the team’s Open Tryout this Saturday.

Beasley, the former New England Patriot, will oversee all football operations for the expansion franchise. “With my background at every level of football, coupled with having coached women prior, the possibilities with this team truly excites me. I would like to thank the LFL and the Liberty for providing myself and my staff the opportunity to produce a winning tradition in New England”, said Derrick Beasley, Head Coach, New England Liberty.

Coach Beasley will immediately start preparation for Saturday’s official debut of the New England Liberty at its 2016 Open Tryout, Football Combine, 11:30am at Turf Time in Tewksbury.

“We are truly re-molding coaching across the league to bring in more enthusiasm, preparation, sophistication and ultimately a better product on the field. Coach Beasley is one of those rare finds that been successful at all levels of football and provides an extensive background in coaching women’s football”, said Mitchell Mortaza, Commissioner, Legends Football League, LLC.
