North Kingstown Harbor Master Ed Hughes spotted a humpback whale breaching in Narragansett Bay on Monday.
The whale is reported to have breached at least 25 times before splashing around for a bit and swimming off.
In September, our Friends for the Atlantic White Shark Conservatory shot this amazing video of a great white breaching on Cape Cod.
Our readers will also remember Beluga whale sightings in May 2015 and dolphin swimming around Newport harbor in September.
Just a bit further north, Cape Cod enjoyed a record season with great white sharks.
