ATTLEBORO, Mass. — One of New England’s most belov ATTLEBORO, Mass. — One of New England’s most beloved holiday traditions is back. The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, located at 947 Park St., Attleboro, MA, has officially switched on its 2025–2026 Christmas Festival of Lights, illuminating the grounds every night from 5–9 p.m., Nov. 22 through Jan. 4 — even on Christmas night.

The massive display, featuring thousands of twinkling lights draped across trees and pathways, is free to the public, with optional donation stations placed throughout the property.

Shrine staff say the key to a smooth visit is timing. Traffic often picks up 30–60 minutes before the lights come on, especially on weekends close to Christmas. Visitors hoping to avoid crowds are encouraged to come on weeknights, when lines and parking are easier to navigate.

Because much of the display is designed for a soft, night-sky glow, some areas are intentionally darker. Guests planning to stay until closing are encouraged to bring a small flashlight. All buildings — including the church, Religious Article Store, cafeteria, and Creche Museum — close promptly at 9 p.m.

Weather closures are possible, and visitors are urged to check the Shrine’s website or Facebook page before heading out.

Families can stop by the Welcome Center every Friday–Sunday, 5–9 p.m., for Photos with Santa, along with a carousel, hayride, and Ride to Bethlehem, also available Friday through Sunday.

The Shrine will also host a full slate of holiday Masses, including:
* Thanksgiving Day Masses – Nov. 27 at 10 a.m. & 4 p.m.
* Mariachi Mass – Dec. 7 at 4 p.m.
* Christmas Eve Masses – 4 p.m. & 6 p.m.
* Midnight Mass – Dec. 25 at 12 a.m.
* Christmas Day Masses – 10:30 a.m. & 12:10 p.m.
* New Year’s Eve Masses – 6 p.m. & 10 p.m.
* New Year’s Day Masses – 12:10 p.m. & 4 p.m.

With glowing pathways, festive music, and cherished traditions, La Salette’s iconic festival once again shines as a beacon of Christmas joy across New England.
