This impeccably reimagined top-floor residence wit This impeccably reimagined top-floor residence with stunning water views blends coastal elegance with boatbuilder precision on Newport’s exclusive Goat Island.

Every detail in this one-bedroom, one-bath unit has been masterfully curated—down to the teak flooring, tongue-and-groove ceilings, and handcrafted cabinetry that provides both storage and style. The open-concept chef’s kitchen features top-tier stainless steel appliances and a striking oversized teak island, perfect for casual dining or cocktail-hour gatherings.

A wall of windows opens onto a spacious, north-facing patio with teak tiles, offering shaded outdoor living and unobstructed views of Newport Harbor, Narragansett Bay, and the iconic Pell Bridge. It’s a front-row seat to some of New England’s most spectacular sunsets.

Set within a gated community, the property’s amenities rival any resort: a heated waterfront pool and pool house overlooking Fort Adams, tennis and pickleball courts, basketball, a private beach with kayak racks, and manicured walking paths that trace the shoreline. Residents also enjoy same-floor laundry and storage, 24/7 security, and lush, landscaped grounds.

A rare combination of timeless craftsmanship and modern comfort, this private retreat is just a short stroll from downtown Newport’s vibrant restaurants, shops, and marinas—yet feels worlds away.

For one weekend only, residents and hospitality wo For one weekend only, residents and hospitality workers in Rhode Island’s Newport and Bristol Counties are being offered a rare perk: free or discounted access to 19 of the region’s most iconic cultural sites.

Dubbed “Be Our Guest” Days, the program will run from Saturday, June 21 through Monday, June 23. It’s a coordinated effort led by the Preservation Society of Newport County to thank locals and hospitality professionals for their role in sustaining the area’s vital tourism economy.

Participants can enjoy complimentary entry to The Breakers, Marble House, The Elms, Chateau-sur-Mer, and Green Animals Topiary Garden. Kingscote will be open for one day only on June 21, and the Isaac Bell House will welcome guests on June 22 and 23. Proof of Newport County residency or hospitality employment is required.

“This initiative is our way of giving back to the community that supports us year-round,” said Trudy Coxe, CEO of the Preservation Society. “It’s a chance for locals to reconnect with the rich history in their own backyard.”

While specialty tours—such as Beneath The Breakers and The Elms Servant Life—are not included, visitors can access self-guided content via the @newport.mansions app.

In addition to the Preservation Society sites, the following venues are participating:

* Artillery Company of Newport Museum – Free (June 21–22)
* Audubon Nature Center & Aquarium – Free for up to four guests (June 21–23)
* Blithewold Mansion – Free (June 21–22)
