After a successful decade of racing in the Swan 42, the 2019 Rolex New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup will be the first to utilize the Club’s fleet of 20 IC37 raceboats. These purpose-built machines, when combined with one-design sails from North Sails, identical gear and standardized rig tune, will create the most level platform ever used for amateur big-boat racing. The boats will be owned by the Club, and will be maintained to an identical standard.
The regatta schedule includes three days of practice and pre-regatta meetings starting on Saturday, Sept 7, 2019. An Opening Ceremony is scheduled for the evening of Monday, Sept. 9. Racing will run from Tuesday, Sept. 10, through Saturday, Sept. 14, when the regatta will conclude with a sumptuous Rolex Awards Dinner on the lawn of the New York Yacht Club Harbour Court.
