RIP Tommy Lama

Thomas P. Lama (Whisky Tango), age 56, of Newport, RI, died Thursday, July 13, 2017. Thomas was born July 18, 1960 in Newport, RI.  He is the son of Pege’ Lama of Middletown, RI and the late Allen J. Lama of Newport, RI.

Thomas was owner/operator of “Whiskey Cycles and Motors Custom Shop” of Newport. He was also an accomplished musician, playing drums, bass guitar, saxophone and harmonica. He played in various local bands.

In addition to his mother; he is survived by his daughter: Taylor Lama-Henderson of Pensacola, FL; Taylor’s mother: Ruth Henderson of Middletown, RI; sons Allen and his wife of AZ, Joshua of NY and Christopher of Newport; sister: Dotti Lama of Portsmouth, RI: nephew: Garrad Lama of Portsmouth, RI; uncle: Fred Gonsalves and wife Christine of Tiverton, RI; his Texas family: Aunt Doris and Uncle Lyn, cousins Brian and Sheri, nephew Caden and nieces: Kyla and Shea; four grandchildren: two of AZ and two of CA; several cousins; special friend Pam Musho and many, many friends and his beloved dog/companion: Jack Sparrow.

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date.
