The Northeast’s only luxury yacht trade show returns to Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard this month, as the 2025 Newport Charter Yacht Show kicks off June 23 with a move-in of 18 vessels. The four-day event connects charter yachts, agents, owners, and crews with industry professionals seeking high-end vacation options for clients cruising New England and beyond.
Produced by Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard, the show offers an intimate alternative to larger international charter expos, giving brokers quality time aboard yachts and face-to-face engagement with crew.
“The experience here is more relaxed,” said Sarah Egger, charter manager for Fraser Yachts. “At bigger shows, brokers are jumping from boat to boat. Here, they can really get to know each yacht and what it offers.”
Fraser will showcase two motor yachts, including Lady B, the show’s largest at 170 feet. “She was headed for the Med, but changed course to stay in New England this summer,” Egger said. With five staterooms, a beach club, outdoor cinema, elevator, and a 53-foot tender powered by five 450-hp engines, Lady B is expected to be a major draw.
Fraser’s 110’ In the Zone will also appear, while Edmiston will present the 169’ ACTA, which broker Holly Huffstetler described as “immaculate, with a magical master cabin and an exceptional crew led by a seasoned charter captain.”
While the spotlight often shines on motor yachts, sailing vessels are also gaining traction. Nicholson Yachts will represent three sailboats, including the brand-new 68’ Cirrus and the 59’ Tyche, both new to charter.
“Sailing charters are making a comeback post-pandemic,” said Karen Kelly Shea of Nicholson Yachts. “New England is ideal for sailing in summer, and many motor yachts serve as mother ships during regattas.”
Throughout the show, brokers will gather for networking events, educational seminars, and a packed schedule of dockside showings. Highlights include the annual AYCA Breakfast aboard the 85’ Lexington on Tuesday, June 24, and a Thursday seminar covering cybersecurity, charter software, and emerging destinations.
Competitions are a signature element of the week, showcasing crew talents in culinary, design, and seamanship. Events include the CYBA Designer Water Contest, Best Charter Yacht Chef, Tablescaping, and the ever-popular Yacht Hop—where one vessel will be crowned “Best Party Yacht” in honor of the late Herman Pundt.
On Friday, June 27, several yachts will stay on to host the 12th Annual Newport Yacht Rendezvous, a benefit for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County featuring cocktails, dinner, dancing, and yacht hopping—all in support of local youth programs.
The show also opens part of its footprint to the public, with a vendor area outside Belle’s Café open June 24–26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shoppers can browse marine and lifestyle offerings from vendors such as AERE Marine Group, Newport Yacht Interiors, CUTCO, and Vitamin Sea Co.
“The show is about more than just yachts,” said Show Director Veronica Brown. “It’s about innovation, connection, and preparing for a successful charter season in New England—and beyond.”
