Ocean Lawn, the former Cliff Walk estate of the Firestone family was broken into over the last few days and robbed of a significant amount of its contents.
It is believed to be an inside job perpetrated by a contractor working on the property. An arrest has been made, although no name is yet available.
Newport Police are investigating.
UPDATE: Per the homeowners: Thanks to the hard work of the Newport Police almost all of the stolen property has been returned.
