President Biden held his first press conference since his January inauguration, ending a 64 day stretch that made him the longest-serving president in the last 100 years to go without a news conference.
Biden took questions for roughly an hour on a range of topics, including, the surge of immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border, the filibuster, voting rights and foreign policy challenges with China and Russia.
– Biden addressed his administration’s response to the surge of migrants on the US-Mexico border
– He set a goal of 200 million COVID-19 vaccine shots by his first 100 days in office
– The president also said would run for office again in 2024 with Kamala Harris as his VP
There was not a single question about the COVID-19 pandemic.
