Ray Meyerson, the 74-year-old owner of the Peals of Newport boutique hotel, has been arrested by the Newport Police for obtaining money under false pretenses for taking a $1,144.13 deposit for rooms at the hotel but he never responded any further to the clients and never refunded their money when requested.
Meyerson will appear in court on February 22nd.
