This private, gated community in Portsmouth, sits just across from the prestigious Aquidneck Club, steps from Narragansett Bay, and will ultimately include only 28 stand-alone, single-family–style condominiums. With classic New England architecture, open-concept interiors, and professionally designed finishes.

Homes at Aquidneck Village feature welcoming front porches, fenced outdoor spaces, full-height basements with finishing options, and spacious two-car garages sized to fit a personal golf cart. Buyers can also opt for upgrades like finished bonus rooms, three-level elevators in select models, wet bars, and custom built-ins.

To highlight just one of the homes currently available, welcome to The Hutchinson at 12 Lookout Lane — starting at $1,649,000.

The Hutchinson offers 3,707 sq. ft of thoughtfully designed living space. The home includes 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, a spacious bonus room, nine-foot ceilings, and abundant natural light throughout.

High-end finishes define the interior: French white oak flooring, a gas fireplace, wireless sound system, Thermador appliances, custom casework, and 80-inch glass sliders that open to beautifully landscaped, fenced outdoor areas. Buyers can also choose to add a private elevator, wet bar, and fully finished lower level ideal for entertaining, hosting guests, or creating a media space.

Aquidneck Village offers the best of both worlds: the feel of a luxury single-family home with the ease and convenience of condominium-style living. It’s minutes to Newport, about ten minutes to the Massachusetts line, and perfectly positioned for year-round or second-home living on the bay.

The Newport Police Department is asking for the pu The Newport Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two women suspected of stealing a wallet from a grocery store earlier this month.

According to police, the incident occurred on Dec. 18, 2025, at approximately 7:42 p.m. inside the Stop & Shop on Connell Highway in Newport.

Investigators say the wallet was left on the counter of the Citizens Bank teller window inside the store. Surveillance video allegedly shows two female suspects approaching the area, with one appearing to keep watch while the other removed the wallet from the counter. Both individuals were then seen leaving the store together.

Police have released photographs of the suspects and are urging anyone who recognizes either woman to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Matt Clarizio at mclarizio@newportri.gov or by phone at 401-845-5775. Police say any assistance in identifying the individuals would be greatly appreciated.
